Zone 0 Compliant Fencing in Altadena
Altadena sits in a Local Responsibility Area (LRA), and its official fire-hazard designation is not uniform: under the State Fire Marshal's March 2025 maps, hazard tiers step down from High near the Angeles National Forest edge to Moderate below, with much of the central and southern residential grid carrying no designated tier at all; even though large parts of that grid burned in the January 2025 Eaton Fire. As of July 26, 2026, checking your specific parcel on the official CAL FIRE viewer is the only accurate way to know your zone.

- •Northern foothill (Chaney Trail area) = High
- •Upper Lake Ave area = Moderate
- •Central and southern grid = no designated tier ("NonWildland")
- •Eastern Altadena (Eaton Canyon side) was not sampled; do not generalize the tier to that area.
