About Firewise Fences
Firewise Fences turns public fire-zone, regulatory, material, and contractor-license records into useful homeowner tools.
The founder
Christopher Robin Gallego was a co-founder of Burkhardt Custom, a fence contractor based in Santa Monica, in 2020, and spent the past six years learning the fence business from the ground up. After witnessing the fires in 2025 and studying fire-resistant fence systems, he founded Firewise Fences to help homeowners understand their fire-zone context, evaluate materials, and find licensed fence contractors.
How Firewise helps
Firewise helps homeowners determine the public fire-hazard context for a location, understand noncombustible fence options, and identify licensed C-13 contractors in the area. Homeowners choose whether to request introductions and contract directly with any contractor they select.
Firewise also helps independent contractors connect with the manufacturers and distributors featured in our material research, so they can obtain current product information and explore supply relationships directly.
